Soft rock song that starts with something like a violin and the first
line is a breathy "Are you listening?"... (Male voice)

I think it was a 90s song... maybe early 2000s. Sounds like, Goo Goo
Dolls, or The Heights ("How Do You Talk to An Angel"), or Lifehouse or
something similar...
